Popular Culture is everywhere
around us. It is the TV shows we watch,
the name brands of the shoes we wear and the even the phones we use. We are
bombarded every day with images and name brands and items we should use, wear
or eat because everyone is doing it. Every Culture has the things everybody
associates with Popular Culture. In
almost all industrialized countries people now have computers, TVs and cell
phones. So some pop culture items are expanding to everywhere in the world.
Because of the Internet I can now watch popular TVs from England, Japan and
many other countries. So for me Pop
culture is almost everything around us it is what we are wearing, how we
communicate and what we drive. It is in
everything we do and see.
I
feel it is very relevant in the business world; it helps companies to know how
to get the peoples attention. It shows
business what people are interested in and like to do. It will be relevant in
my course of study as I am working on my degree in Computer Programming. I could be creating apps or programs
involving one or more Popular Culture items.

Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI definitely think that apps are up and coming and with your degree in Computer Programming you will most likely be doing many of them!
I enjoy the show Duck Dynasty as well and I agree that they have most likely seen an increase in their sales of duck calls since the popularity of the show has grown. I'm betting it makes everyone in that family very happy, happy, happy.
I fully agree with your view of popular culture. It is pretty much everything around us. The funny thing is although I have watch my fair share of reality tv, I have never even heard of this show. That does not say much for me because I have such a busy schedule these days I am not one who has time for my favorite shows so I tend to get my ear full from others. I will have to say that you may be totally correct about the beard thing, I have seen that this has become a popular fad and I had know clue that it came from this show. Thanks for keeping my up to date with popular culture.
